The Current Exhibit
The current exhibit includes the work of artists John Thurman and Victor Flores. The opening reception is Monday, October 20 2008 from 6-8pm.
John Thurman is an abstract photographer and painter. With a BFA in Photography from the SanFrancisco Art Institute, he brings a unique vision, and ability to capture dynamic energy in freeze frame and portray the inherent beauty it emanates. A long time painter at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA, his work on canvas evidences this same quality. He has shown at their gallery, at Schlesinger Hall for theAlexandria Symphony Concert series, at the Kalorama Artists' Fairs and several Artomatics.
Victor Flores,a native of Lima, Peru paints bold, contemporary and surreal works on canvas with oils. The majority of Victor's paintings express his experiences and emotions from life's journey. He trained in Lima in art and design. Moving first to Miami and then later to Shepherdstown, West Virginia, Victor has shown throughout the Miami area and now shows in his own gallery, Tradition and Culture.
